Class 43 High Speed Locomotives
The Class 43 has the distinction of being the fastest diesel locomotive in the world. It operates at speeds of up to 125 MPH (200 KPH) in service, but is capable of reaching speeds of 148 MPH. It was built between 1976 and 1982 by BREL.
