Ride-On 2001 Orion V Buses
The 2001 Orion V order was one of the largest orders of transit sized buses in Ride-On's history. Most of the buses in the 44 bus order operate from Gaithersburg, nine of them operate from Silver Spring. They were the first large buses to have orange LED destination signs, the first fleet to have surveilance cameras on board every bus, and 5610 is the first Ride-On bus to have a CleverDevice on the bus. With the arrival of the Orion VII/CNGs, many of these buses will be transfered to Silver Spring.
