There are two orders of Orion VII/CNGs. The first was for 18 buses and they arrived in early 2004. These buses were the first 35 foot Orion VIIs ever manufactured. The second part of the order is for 15 buses, for a total of 33 buses when the order is complete. There will be 15 buses to replace the 1989 Gillig Phantoms, 15 buses to provide extra service in conjunction with the launch of GoMontgomery, and 3 buses to replace damaged buses (5515, 5555, and 5707). The Orion VII/CNGs operate from Gaithersburg Garage.
